Description
Valentine Cottage is a delightful cottage,set off the road, in a picturesque row of four. It has a lovely, secluded, well stocked garden with a summerhouse, garden furniture and barbeque - the ideal spot for a sunbathe or an early evening drink!
The house is in Goonbell, on the outskirts of St Agnes,a thriving, large village well known for its surfing and bathing beaches, shops, galleries and superb coastal walks with stunning views. For the sporty there are riding stables a short walk away. The centre of St Agnes is a ten minute stroll down the hill; it is a pleasant walk to Trevaunance beach beyond where there is the Driftwood Inn with its excellent restaurant. 100 yards from the house is a large recreation ground with swings, slide, climbing frame, football pitch, loos and a picnic area - perfect for young children to let off steam!
Tastefully furnished and immaculately kept, Valentine Cottage is the perfect location for a small family or a romantic holiday. It happily sleeps four; ideally a couple with two children, and at a pinch an additional child, there is a travel cot and a high-chair. It is in a quiet setting, positioned off the road with private lane leading to fields behind the house.
Approached by a path at the front, you enter directly into the sitting room. This has a beamed ceiling, thick cob walls, an inglenook with a wood burning stove. There is a dining table with space for four. There is a television with DVD player, some DVDs and an interesting selection of books.
The fully fitted kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, and a fridge with an icebox. There is an antique cornish range (non functioning) and a slate floor. The bathroom is downstairs and is beautifully decorated with a stained glass shower stall.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms, the main room has a pretty window under the thatch, an antique French double bed and rugs on the wooden floor boards. There is a chest of drawers and plenty of hanging and storage space.
The second bedroom has two single beds; an antique 3ft sleigh bed and a narrower 2'6" bed, there is an additional put-you-up bed that can be squeezed in if required. There is ample cupboard space. From the window you can see St Agnes Beacon and the sea beyond
Wifi is provided free of charge and a basket of logs to warm you up on arrival.

The owners request a breakages deposit of £100.00 to be paid with the balance and reserve the right to make charges in the event of late departures and/or extra cleaning.
If a group consists of more than a couple and two children or a couple and one other adult the cottage could feel a little crowded. |

St Agnes is a popular coastal village in North Cornwall, England. It is located not far from Mount Hawke, Penhallow, Porthtowan, Wheal Busy, and Perranporth and is one of 258 towns or villages in Cornwall in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The closest cities are Truro (population 20,920) and Plymouth (population 243,795).
St Agnes village is situated on a main road between Perranporth and Redruth. Historically it has been known for the mining of copper and tin (as well as arsenic), although this mining died out in the 1920s. The economy has also been based upon farming and fishing with tourism playing an increasingly important part.
With easy access to both the north and south coasts of Cornwall, and popular towns such as Newquay and Truro, St Agnes is an excellent location to base your Cornish holiday in.
